Hi! I am very excited to be the School Counselor at Coronado Hills! I am a Colorado native, born and raised in Burlington, Colorado. I love the Broncos & the Avalanche! I love the outdoors and go hiking and camping whenever I can. I received my BA in Psychology at the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley in 2000 and then moved to Denver where I completed my Masters of Arts in Educational Counseling from the University of Phoenix in 2005. I spent 10 years previously as a middle school counselor and was very excited when Coronado Hills said they needed a counselor to help our K-5th grade students. My focus is to help students learn pro-social behavior through lessons taught in the classrooms. The program I am using to teach these skills is Second Step. I am also meeting with students individually and through small-groups to help provide support to students who are struggling with academics, home, and personal-social issues. I am happy to talk to you about your child's needs so please call me or email me with your concerns! I am a mother of two elementary-aged kids myself, one of whom has special needs, so I know and understand that parenting can be a challenge at times. I am here to support you and your child and be a resource to you. Thank you!
