This is my third year at Coronado Hills Elementary and my eleventh year in teaching. Six of those years I taught fourth and fifth grade. For the last three years, I've served as Digital Literacy Coach. A Digital Literacy Coach helps teachers and students to use technology effectively, safely. I also help enhance learning with digital projects so students can really show what they've learned! In addition to my half-time job here at Coronado, I am also half-time at Stellar Elementary. Prior to becoming a teacher, I was a research scientist studying the SARS respiratory virus as well as several animal viruses.
When not at school, I enjoy reading, writing, travel and especially photography. Once, when I was a teacher ranger at Mesa Verde National Park, I took 11,000 pictures in about 2 months’ time. I also spend time with my two crazy dogs Max and Jake. Max is a border collie mix and Jake is a very high energy black-lab/Australian Cattle Dog mix.
I'm thankful to be at Coronado, it's such an amazing school!
