Grief Camp Opportunity!

Do you have a child that is experiencing grief after a loss of a loved one?  Here is information for Camp Erin - a camp specifically designed to help your child through the grief they are experiencing. Camp Erin® Denver - August 18-20, 2017
Camp Erin® — an initiative created and supported by The Moyer Foundation — is a network of free overnight bereavement camps designed for children and teens ages 6-17 who have experienced the death of someone close to them.

Camp Erin Denver 2016 is set for Friday-Sunday, August 18 - 20 at Camp Granite Lake located in Coal Creek Canyon.

This weekend-long experience is filled with traditional, fun, high-energy camp activities combined with grief education and emotional support. Camp Erin offers a relaxed, safe and supportive environment, led by grief professionals and trained volunteers of Shimmering Wings.

Camp Erin Denver provides a unique opportunity for peer bonding between children and teens facing a similar life circumstance, including those from military families.

The mission of The Moyer Foundation is to provide comfort, hope and healing to children affected by loss and family addiction.

Founded in 2000 by World Series champion pitcher Jamie Moyer and his wife Karen, The Foundation partners with healthcare and bereavement organizations in local communities to help fund, develop and grow Camp Erin nationwide. 
How to Get Involved in 2017
Enroll a Camper (ages 6 -17) in this FREE program. The deadline for camper applications is Friday, July 21, 2017.

Volunteer and be a part of an incredible weekend as a Camp Big Buddy or serve as support staff for activities! Volunteer applications must be received by Friday, June 30. All volunteers are required to undergo a background check and training.  Two volunteer trainings dates will be offered - Sunday, June 25 and Saturday, July 15.  An all-volunteer pre-camp gathering will be held on Saturday July 29.  The Camper and Volunteer Meet & Greet will be held on Saturday, August 5 (location to be announced).  Additional information will be provided at the volunteer interview.
