SOLVING MYSTERIES WITH THE PRINCIPALS BOOK CLUB   

Join us, Mr. Buck and Mr. Haviland, for seven exciting sessions of reading and discussing some of our favorite mysteries.  The books we have selected for these sessions are The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin and Chasing Vermeer by Blue Balliet with an introduction to mysteries with Encyclopedia Brown, Boy Detective by Donald J. Sobol.  

We will be meeting from 2:45-3:45 after school on the following Fridays plus two Thursdays:

Thursdays-October 30th, December 18th                      

Fridays- November 7th, November 14th, November 21st, December 5th, December 12th  

Please know that you must commit to completing all of the assignments prior to each meeting.  This will include some writing regarding events, vocabulary, and your thoughts as well as around 30-40 pages of reading each week.   

Space is limited to ten students per book/principal, or a total of twenty students overall.  We would love to have you join us.   

Please complete the attached form and return it to the office as soon as possible.  Registration will occur on a first-come, first served basis.
